Think District
Amsterdam, the Netherlands, 2022In 2022 RED Company commissioned the design of two housing blocks as part of Think District, a new neighbourhood comprising 1,100 homes in Amsterdam’s Schinkelkwartier. The design draws inspiration from Berlage’s Plan Zuid as an answer to the client’s desire for an elegant and timeless architecture, rooted in Amsterdam’s architectural legacy. Tasked with designing a humble tower and an urban block, the buildings are crafted as a family, characterised by their meticulous attention to proportion, their straightforwardness, and their robust brick facades enhanced by refined detailing.
